Feature guide
A reference for the modules that set Conky Mod apart from stock QGroundControl.
Repix — accounts & organizations
The service module (~8.5k lines, src/Repix/): sign-in with 2FA, the token stored in the system Keychain, sessions restored automatically on launch. Permissions come from live organization roles and update without restarting the app.
Repix — terminals & control
A live list of terminals with online/offline presence and one-click connection. Only one operator commands at a time: take/release with confirmation, joystick sending 32 channels over CRSF. If another operator takes control, local command output stops.
Repix — tunnel, video & security
The MAVLink tunnel creates a virtual UDP channel through which QGC sees a remote vehicle as an ordinary connected one. Video arrives over RTSP with an auth token; autostream never overrides Repix streams, and tokenized URLs are masked in debug logs. Joystick capture is active only during a Repix session.
Onboard Files — files on the vehicle
An onboard storage browser over MAVLink FTP: navigate the directory tree, download logs, missions and camera definitions to the PC, upload files to the vehicle, delete folders recursively. Available in the Analyze view and in Vehicle Setup.
EKF & vibration — stability monitoring
Panels on the Fly View instrument strip. The EKF panel warns about an incorrectly initialized filter before takeoff; the vibration panel shows IMU noise level — the most common cause of in-flight loss of orientation. Alert thresholds are configurable, panels can be dragged and pinned.
AppUpdate — auto-update
Built on Velopack (src/AppUpdate/): release checks, background download, updates without reinstalling. The update channel is our own and never crosses with upstream QGC; check and notification policy is configurable.
Ukrainian by default
The app starts in Ukrainian. Flight, mission planning, settings with search, toolbar, comm links, telemetry, autopilot settings, calibration and log analysis are all translated. TTS speaks Ukrainian, and ArduPilot arming failure reasons are translated too. Terminology follows a maintained glossary.
Gimbal — rate control
Dragging controls slew rate rather than angle: the further from centre, the faster the camera moves, like a real operator’s stick. A configurable dead zone sits near centre, and releasing sends an explicit stop command.
Branding & presets
Own name, icons, coat of arms and a “no video” background instead of a black screen. A separate settings directory keeps the build from conflicting with upstream QGC. Adds plan presets for plane and rover, telemetry panel presets, a mute indicator and a vehicle disconnect button in the toolbar.
Stability & compatibility
MAVLink FTP falls back to plain ListDirectory when ArduPilot does not support ListDirectoryWithTime, and closes the session if a download fails. ParameterManager retries a parameter load after a dropout. Camera discovery through the ArduPilot proxy is restored, H.26x depayload and RTSP TCP preference are fixed. A takeoff item is no longer required in a mission.
